There has been a big rise in the numbers of people under 25 who set up their own businesses, the survey by Barclays has revealed.Estimates say that 20,700 businesses were started by this age group in the first half of 2007, compared to 18,000 for the same period last year, the highest level since the bank started recording figures in 2003.
It’s easy to see fellow young entrepreneurs as a threat. But that’s the wrong approach. The success of one young entrepreneur raises the entire ‘brand name’ of young entrepreneurs. Remember a rising tide lifts all boats - that’s another 20,700 potential BossHatch readers.
