When I Relate Lingerie With Hard Wood, You Think…
..Eco-entrepreneurs, of course!
According to this article, a company called g=9.8 (hurr, gravity… I get it) is creating lingerie made from wood.

I guess that’s one more reason to get hard (legislation?) against killing the rain forest.
-”What are you wearing today, honey?”
-”Redwood.”
-”Hot.”
As much as I would love to say this is environmentally friendly, shaving sheep just seems like a better idea. I’m not saying we need to kill the wood idea, but it just doesn’t make much sense. Sure, it is an alternative, but crafting lingerie out of our wood just doesn’t seem like a viable alternative… I mean, it would seriously hurt… the environment… Alright, I’ll stop.

You know, they make clothes out of corn and hemp as well. Maybe that would be better than wood…

Assuming that they’re really using “a fibre based on white pine tree clippings” then I think it’s pretty neat. “Clippings” don’t mean cutting down the trees, so that wold make it really sustainable. Less good if they’re using the trimings from harvested trees, but that’s still better than turning the clippings into compost.

Not sure how they do it - it would be interesting to find out, though.

Well, it wasn’t easy, but the answer is cool.
“…underwear made from recycled wood… It is as soft as silk with the feel of cashmere and the coolness of linen. The wood is enzymically processed into fibers (a bit like beer) with a touch of spandex for added stretch!”
