Boss Hatch - Entrepreneurs in the Making

‘Young Entrepreneur’ Definition Officially Changed

by Jim Gordon on March 31st, 2008

According to recent sources, the definition of ‘Young Entrepreneur’ was officially changed to better suit a changing working environment.  Officials of the League of International Entrepreneurs have stated It is time we ‘Get in the now.’  With web 2.0 taking full swing on the internet, we decided to get with the program and take the plunge.  By ‘plunge,’ they are referencing to the new technical definition of ‘Young Entrepreneurs’ (or Progressive Innovators).  This new definition means everyone from ages 1-100 can technically be considered a ‘young entrepreneur,’ as long as the idea is progressive and original.

When we called and questioned the League of International Entrepreneurs, they said:

We think this new change suits the term well.  We don’t want to discriminate certain groups based on their age.  In fact, changing the definition has boosted the number of young entrepreneurs exponentially! People of all ages are adopting the title and starting businesses.  It makes them feel young.  We believe the new definition will help bring the US economy out of its recession.

One could only hope that this is true.  I will have more on this story later.

    Jim,
I love this idea and agree wholeheartedly. We as individuals need to take charge of our own destiny, and in doing so put this country back on its feet ! Clearly people need to stop expecting ‘government’ to do the right thing realize each of us has the ability to start our own home based business and to become financially self-sufficient. ‘Progressive Entrepreneur’ hits the nail on the head!
    Warm Regards,
